    We haven't even approached the lender about the garage problems yet, but our anticipation has always been that they probably wouldn't lend the amount required to cover the garage building i.e. because it's built over a water main and doesn't have PP/BC.

    Getting the water board to move the water main would (all in all) take months. We're already in week 13 and have a new baby arriving in March!
  • Sounds like they were chancers, hoping they could get away with it. Sounds like they probably won’t be able to find such gullible buyers as they want, especially if the property is of a high value. You’ve made a lucky escape!
