Win a slot on the Glastonbury line-up in emerging talent competition
https://thefestivals.uk/2019/01/22/glastonbury-emerging-talent-competition/
Glastonbury have announced details of their emerging talent competition ahead of the festival this June.
The contest gives acts of any musical genre the chance to win a slot on one of Glastonbury’s main stages.
Supported by PRS for Music and the PRS Foundation, the winners will also be awarded a £5,000 Talent Development Prize.
Two runners-up will get a £2,5000 Talent Development Prize.
The competition is only open to UK and Ireland based acts, who can enter via this page on the Glastonbury website.
Entries are open for one week only from 9 am Monday 28th January until 5 pm Monday 4th February.
Entries must supply an original song on SoundCloud alongside a video of themselves performing. 30 music writers will then help compile a shortlist of 90 acts.
Judges, including Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis, will then narrow this down to just eight finalists.
Live finals in Pilton this April will decide the winner, though for the last four years, all eight finalists were offered a slot at the upcoming Glastonbury Festival.
