I usually buy Meguairs, but Autoglym or Turtlewax are good too. Plenty to choose from here - https://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-1907-shampoo-wash.aspx#Filter=%5B*ava=0%5D&

This is not a shampoo. It is a pre wash before application of a shampoo and a proper wash.

For pre-wash I would recommend Bilt Hamber Auto wash. Mix small amount in spray bottle and allow to dwell before pressure rinsing.

For shampoo I can't beat CarChem 1900:1. Very good value.

The Ultimate Finish Ultimate Snow Foam is a great soap and very economical to use.

I agree it's not actually a 'shampoo' as such.

But if you read the instruction on the back of the pack it says:

#6. If required wash bodywork with a regular shampoo.

I have found that further washing after using Polar Blast is not necessary.

My car bodywork is polished and then sealed/protected (SRP +EGP) so has a pretty good glossy finish and all the usual road-crud comes away easily on rinsing.

Only occasionally it is necessary to shampoo off the odd insect mark.

Agree, more often than not, users are adopting an entry level power washer, 450L/H or better yet 510L/H (max for domestic use).

Nowadays I put shampoo/mix in a spray bottle, off to the forecourt, spray on leave to dwell before it dries then use the forcourt power washer to rinse down (wheels included)like you I keep my car polished and waxed, so cleaning is an easier affair.
