Replacing multipoint PVC door locks

They aren't 'non-snapable' just the opposite.
There is a section that snaps off easily, leaving the rest of the barrel intact. This means there is nothing protruding, which should thwart any further attempts to 'snap' the lock.
Also a piece of metal moves into place hindering attempts at lock-picking.
The lock can still be unlocked from inside using the key. It would of course need replacing.0 -
Thanks, all good to know!0

Being flush is not what makes a lock unsnapable so that wrong.
What makes it unsnapable is it's internal construction, it's made so that when the first part is snapped there is another part that stop you being able to then turn the latch to open the lock.
To snap a flush cylinder is as easy as the snapping itself, you just wedge a large screwdriver between the door and handle and snap the handle up and away from the lock to get the mole grips onto it.0 -

Ah right, so it's more a cosmetic thing. Thanks for that!0 -
If you go on youtube i am sure there will be videos on there showing you how to change the barrel,as said only one screw and if you remove the original you can take it to screwfix/toolstation etc to buy a new one.0

The anti-snap construction of the lock is a hardened steel bar which reinforces the weakest part of the barrel (where the cam is located) it specifically protects against snapping that part of the barrel.0
