Rental application...income amount?

Hi, I am currently on disability benefits, I have checked all the benefit calculators and when I move out of my parents house it says my income will go up a little bit and I will be getting the housing benefit aswell. My problem is, Do I write on the rental form my current income, or the income for when I've moved out? I know that my current income will probably will not pass as it has to be a certain amount higher than your rent, which it isn't at the moment. Also I don't have any proof to show that my income will go up other than the benefit calculators. Nor do I have proof of HB as I don't currently receive it for living at home. Advice would be appreciated.:)

OP, we moved house recently and were due to switch to Universal Credit shortly afterwards, so I did up a full explanation of our income under both the old and the new systems (for us it was approximately the same amount either way). I also costed up my outgoings and highlighted non essentials that could be cut if need be in the future (TV package, internet etc), and provided proof of deposit and first month's rent upfront and details of references.
It can be very difficult to rent if you're on benefits so if you haven't already got a place lined up be prepared for a lot of refusals. Personally I find it easier to look for private landlords rather than going through agents, although it's worth emailing agents to see if any have landlords who will accept benefits. Some have a blanket policy against it but others are more flexible. Hope that helps x0 -
Ask the housing benefit department for a housing benefit determination this will show how much benefit you would get for the property.0

What you need to put on your form is your actual income that can be proved.0
