Damaged and mutilated dollar bills exchange in London

Hi, guys.

I am sorry if I've posted to the wrong board.

I've got $2K in $100 bills that I poorly kept and they got flooded. Now a couple are really badly damaged - only a half of a bill left, some - are over 75% fine but all are damaged.

Could anyone suggest how could I exchange those bills for new ones, please?

Thanks in advance!

  • Thanks, I've already done that and now awaiting their response. The only way is to post the bills to the States. As you can imagine, I'm not very enthusiastic about that. Also, the majority of the bills would not be considered mutilated given over 50% of a note is present, therefore, a US bank would have to change it for new.

    But thanks for the suggestion!
