Launched today, Beam Energy is a not for profit energy supplier owned by Barking and Dagenham Council

Beam Energy is available to customers in Barking and Dagenham, greater London and East Anglia.

They don't seem particularly cheap, not least because of the £115 ish p.a. per fuel standing charges (although there is £22.50 p.a. per fuel online discount available)
Gas, for example, is more expensive than British Gas on their standard variable rate. :eek:,

For an average dual fuel customer, their cheapest tariff is currently £167 p.a. more than the cheapest available alternative
(All based on Eastern supply region)

Perhaps the biggest problem is, whilst they appear on comparison sites, I'm not sure of any comparison sites you can actually switch to them with ... and I can't find their own website to switch to them directly with.

Perhaps that will get on Google in the days to come?

I was guessing they would be a white label, but needed it confimed from their own website, Your link has now confirmed this for me.

Beam Energy has partnered with Robin Hood Energy to supply electricity and gas under the Beam Energy brand name.
