Butlins Skegness Gold/Silver Apartments Confusion

Can anyone tell me where silver apartments are located? We stayed in gold last time and were in The Keys which are the furthest end and proved too much of a walk for our littlest. Believing The Keys was exclusively gold apartments (google seems to indicate this), we’ve downgraded to Silver this year but the app is saying we are located in The Keys again but the ‘location pointer’ is pointing to Starfish Quay.

I’ve contacted Butlins and asked then and had 2 responses. One said we are in The Keys and the other said we are in either Starfish Quay or Ocean Point. So I’m still none the wiser. :cool:

Can anyone tell me if The Keys is Silver/Gold/mixture of the 2?

It is likely there are several locations within the park that can be classed as "Silver" standard.

Also, based on my experiences at Butlins Minehead (only stayed once in Skeggy a few years ago), they will only allocate your accommodation a short time before your stay (I think a week or two).

I recommend to write/call them and specify the location you want to stay within.

Then, as the holiday date approaches, keep calling to see if they have allocated you yet. If they allocate you to the part you don't want to stay within, ask to be moved.

They may say they cant but in my experience, they have (probably cause I remind them I ma a regular and ask very nicely!)

I've been to Butlins Skegness about 10 times now. I've always stopped in silver, standard or fairground (basically silver) apartments and I've never been placed in The Keys. Starfish Quay and Ocean Point are silver/standard accommodation only.

So I would quite confidently say that The Keys is gold apartment only.

The keys in Skegness is gold. I’ve been “upgraded” by Butlins twice to gold and it’s been the keys both times.
