Barclaycard Classic Limit increase

What is the mininum period before i can ask for a limit increase? I am a customer of barclays.

They have told me 5 months since your last approved increase. (which was March 29th for me)

Is this right?

I thought it was once every 6 months? But then again, Barclycard may decide to increase it without you asking them.

After having my card for 6 months, I got a statement through saying they were pleased to increase my limit for me from £1200 to £2000. This was without asking for an increase.
I phoned them up saying I was actually going to ask for an increase to £2500 even though it had just been increased and they allowed that. I said I wanted to do a balance transfer.
Recently I phoned them up again and asked if it was possible for them to increase my limit further and they said they couldn't increase it because I have had a manual increase in the last 4 months and if I try when the 4 months are up then I should be able to get it increased no problem.

Not exactly the Classic card, but I just entered my fourth month with the Initial card and my credit limit has just been raised automatically from a lowly £360 to £500. Now the kids can eat. LOL

I applied for one about 9 months ago this was my third credit card and got £5000 limit, they then increased it to £7500 automatically.
