SSE 1 year Smart fixed tarrif

Hi,

Just looking around at potential suppliers and i noticed the SSE 1 year smart fixed tariff. Now i have a smart meter so would i qualify for the £50 elec credit at the end of the 12 month contract? IF so, what happens if i decide to switch, do they pay me the £50 into my bank account or do i simply use it if i don't use it before I potentially then switch?

What do the T&C's say? Presumably if you switch after 12m, then the amount will be credited after 12m and offset against your final bill after you have switched.

The account will be credited only if you remain on the tariff until at least 49 days before the end of the period. - leave before and you don't get it.
The account will be credited, if appropraite, no later than 42 days before the end of the fixed period.
You will receive a final bill, the balance of which will be repaid when you leave (or be carried over if you remain with the supplier)

So think of it as a form of an early exit - one that will still apply if you move home before the due date.
