Bank transfer affect hb?

I claim a small amount of housing benefit and receive working and child tax credits. Im going on holiday with friends and their kids and getting the Eurostar. For groups of 10 or more you get 10% off plus we all want to sit near each other. It will be me who will be booking it and around £800 will be transfered into my bank account from everyone to pay for the tickets. Will this affect anything and will i need to let housing benefit or tax credits know?

Does the £800 takes you above £6k savings level in total?

No it wouldn't, but my sister is doing a standing order £40 every month for the next 11 months to pay for the holiday, will that affect my entitlement?

    No.

You need to declare when savings exceed £6k.

Monies received from family members are not generally treated as income for HB purposes.
