Do dogs dislike aftershave?

No, I don’t intend to apply aftershave to a dog
Moron around the corner lets his dog out at night and it has taken to dumping on the flowerbeds outside the front door and window of my flat.
I have some part-used bottles of aftershave to get rid of, so was thinking of sprinkling some around the dumping ground. Would this get up his nose enough to send him elsewhere do you think? Thx.

No, in my experience dogs don't mind aftershave. Best option will be to pick up the dog feces on a regular basis and put them into a bin away from your flat.
Such morons will never willingly take responsibility for their dog, and can be unpleasant if provoked.
You probably have a local dog warden service you can inform, and who will take action, which may or not influence the dog owner (sometimes they will pick up the feces when they think someone is watching them, but not at any other time), and which may provoke the dog owner to retaliate. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -

im not sure if the flowers will like aftershave, probably kill them, sounds like one of the army of people who like the idea of having a dog but not the walking of it, staying in a council scheme it drives me crazy seeing the amount of unemployed guys and families who have a dog but don’t seem to have time to walk them, many just take them out for a quick pee and back in, when you see a young unemployed guy get a dog that is always a sign that they have given up on the idea of working and you know they will be on benefits for life0

Bag it and post it through his letterbox, you are only giving his own waste back to him, not dumping it in his garden and as it's bagged you are not deliberately causing damage to his home.
Although contacting the dog warden would be a better idea, if you can get proof that it's his dog doing it. Or catch the dog and take it to the local pound (as long as it's a no kill pound) either he collects his dog and had to pay a fine and hopefully stops lifting it roam or maybe he'll sign the dog over and it can get a better and more responsible home.0
