if your company cannot afford to take its own legal advice then it should not be playing with the USA market

you don't seriously expect to get applicable legal advice from this forum do you?

we can afford. that wasn't the question. it was how to proceed with the cease letter which isn't a legal document. merely a letter from the Canadian company.
