How would I rent out a garage ?

I have a garage which I don't use, so I am thinking about renting it out.
It's not actually at my house, but in a nearby block.
I called into three estate agents locally and asked them and none of them would take it on. They don't handle commercial property rentals they each told me, but would be happy to sell it for me.
As I would prefer to rent, at least for now I may consider just advertising it in the local shop and or paper.
What legal documentation will I need for say 12 month rental agreements. Is there a sample available online
thank you

Someone that you know will be on a local facebook group, ask them to take a photo and post an ad, all free.0

A relatively simple licence agreement would suffice. A simple Google search returned a number of possible templates that you could base one on:

You also need to give consideration to insurance (i.e. if your buildings insurance also covers the garage, whether they are happy with you letting it) and your mortgage, if the mortgage is also secured against the garage.0 -
Depending on where you are, it may well rent easily to someone who commutes and needs daily parking.
Or to store their belongings in, cheaper than a Lock n store, place.
But beware a short term, or month in advance deposit, from less desirable charecters. You may well find the don't re-appear, after filling it with old tyres, asbestos, industrial waste, connifer cuttings.....
Be very careful
