The O/P has explained the circumstances - even though they should not have felt they needed to, other than because of what Qwerty was making up and projecting as FACT - and it all seems quite logical and reasoned. Certainly no reason for the vitriol and anger.

Yet Qwerty cant accept that.

Completely true. That’s exactly what I wrote, and it was quite accurate. You’d sneered at someone who was upset because his relatives had been murdered, but you left that bit out.

This doesn't look like banter to me, qwert, for what it's worth. You made huge assumptions based on 'I'm a landlord raising rent', and as it turns out, based on a previous run in. Either give useful advice, or leave the thread alone - you've derailed it.
