CCJ and bailiff letter

Last year I was issued with a warrant of control for a CCJ I currently have, I applied via a N45 to postpone the warrant and pay by installments. I have stupidly missed a couple of months payments by mistake (I have a few debts with companies and thought I had been paying the correct one for this) today I have received a bailiff letter giving me 24 hours to pay via the court office before they come to my home.
A few questions I have.....
1) the letter was dated 17/1/19 however postmark was yesterday 18/1/19 and I received it today would it be safe to assume the 24 hours would give me until Monday/Tuesday next week? The court is closed so I have been unable to ring or go in to make payment.
2) I am only in a position to pay on Tuesday has anyone had experience with court bailiffs and if they are reasonable and possibly give me until then?
Thanks in advance!

Just take them out of the equation and ignore them, do not allow them access to your home, (that means lock the doors) then pay when you can, you will still be liable for the bailiffs fees, but you will avoid the aggravation.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
