1st class signed for parcel not arrived.

Hi i purchased a used suit off eBay Tuesday morning, it was sent at the post office 11:25am by first class signed for from Bolton in Manchester to south Yorkshire, It is now Saturday the 19th and it still has not arrived, The tracking number is NJ632785743GB

The strange thing is i had another parcel of a probably similar size and weight from northern Ireland which was sent second class signed for, at 11:47am on the 16th, and i received it today at 8:54am, so the second class parcel ended up being faster.

I'm very concerned the parcel may of gone missing, IMO first class shouldn't take this amount of time especially considering its only one county away. I have tried calling the depot but it is automated calls, and tried calling the post office it was sent to to no avail. The seller is also concerned and said she would visit the post office.

It could be any number of things, the post office hasn't handed it over to Royal Mail, the sender has badly addressed it so it's stuck in the system while they try to find out where it's going, delays in one of the depots involved, or indeed lost. It is too early to class it as lost at this stage, I'm not sure how many days until a claim can be put in but I'm sure the details will be on royal mails website for you to look them up.

Thanks, the seller has hopefully checked at the post office today, and i have asked how she written the address etc.

I've just lost faith in royal mail a bit lately, recently had a special delivery item i sent arrive a day late, i did get compensation though. They just seem to be getting slower and stuff is arriving later and later. Not just at Christmas either.

I'm surprised the Post office could shed any light on the delay as it's Royal Mail that are responsible for delivery. Track and trace shows it was posted on the 15th it's only the 19th now so late but unlikely to be lost.

Give it a few more days, assuming you used PayPal then you can raise a claim for INR whenever you want, but I'd certainly leave it a Few days yet.

If it is past the delivery estimate on the purchase then just open a dispute for item not received. I think you can request a replacement or refund.

On the plus side, at least the tracking doesn't say delivered and you don't have it!!!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I know mate, i have been checking it all the time, When you have OCD you are always checking things like this. I Could open a dispute for item not received but the seller has gone out of her way to look up what is happening so im going to give her until next week, and this is a vintage suit so i couldn't just get a replacement.

I'm not going to use royal mail again if possible, it is not worth the stress and anxiety caused by using them, they used to be good years ago but not anymore.
