Aqua Reward Credit Card Questions

Hello,
I would like to know if the Aqua Reward card will give me 0.5% for spending abroad, or is it only in the UK that I get the 0.5% cash back reward?
Also, has anyone had any here have experience with them? - The reason I'm choosing them is because I want a travel credit card which gives me cash back, since I always pay back in full, the high fees don't bother me, and I have my halifax clarity card for taking money out abroad. Tandem is the main contender, and from what I have read about their app and customer service online, I don't like them.
Many thanks!

I used Aqua a few years ago, and they did indeed pay cashback on overseas transactions. The big problem is the very low credit limit (which they refused to increase). I exceeded my limit and had some declined transactions: the only good thing is that the card did not work (so I used another card) and so there were no over-limit fees.
I have to say that the amount you will be able to spend abroad is limited and so your gains from the half percent will be so small that they will not justify the trouble: simpler to use your Clarity for everything.0 -
Yes it pays the cashback abroad. My limit was low to start with, but raised after 3 months. I also pay it off manually once I'm near the limit so that I can carry on using it.
Unfortunately I hit the cap of £100 cashback earlier in the year so it's in a drawer for now!0 -

I pay in full every month so the interest rate doesn't bother me.0 -
With regards to the refer a friend bonus, do you know how you can find your referral code/link? I know one appeared on my screen when I signed up for the card but I didn't make a note of it and Aqua claim they cannot provide it to me now.0
