Electric oven tripping RCD

Hi,

Our oven (Neff,10 years old) has started tripping the RCD last night as I was warming up the grill.

It now starts warming up (either when using the grill or air) but trips the RCD when the temperature gets higher. For example if you set it to 100, it will reach it and stop heating. If I set it to 200, it will trip at around 150.

Any ideas what the issue might be? Never had any issues until now and am trying to work out if it's likely to be worth repairing

Thank you

I usually find this is due to the hob above having boiled over, and some moisture gets into the oven. Leave the door open for a day or two.

If it's fan assisted it could be the fan. Ours has gone twice in the past.

    Thank you both.

Will try leaving the door open for a while.

With regards to the fan, as far as I can tell, it works fine until t
    150. Has been on for an hour now at 120

An hour at 120 would dry things out nicely.

We had a NEF oven do exactly what you are experiencing.
If set to 160 it worked OK, but when set to 180 or 190 after a while it tripped the RCD.
I thought the reason was the element was on for longer so got hotter and possibly expanded/ moved and touched earthed metal.
As a temporary solution I set it to 160, when up to temperature the element switched off so left it for a few minutes and then increased it to 180 which was the temperature required, and it worked until we bought a new oven as part of a kitchen revamp.
But a new element could well have fixed it.
