Building regulation recorded by council with no final inspection

Hi guys,
My solicitor has decided that my case could wait an extra week before she has time for it (glad I paid the big bucks to have a solicitor I can get a hold of as opposed to a cheap online service....)
Long story short, I asked her to send me all the searches and to do the work myself until she gets back to me so that I'll be able to give her my answer faster.
There is something I am slightly confused about:
Previous owner built in 2005 a conservatory extension and this is recorded on the council's website with a reference number and a description of the work. On the search result my solicitor gave me it says "Application Completion Date 28.12.2007"
However, when looking online on my property the below kind of worries me in reference to the property work in question:
Description Of Works Extension to ground floor rear, alterations to bathrooms, rewire.
Site Address
Application Reference Number
Deposit Date Wed 20 Apr 2005
Decision Date Not Available
Status No Final Inspection Carried Out
I don't really care much, and I'd be happy to proceed with the sale regardless. I am more worried about when it comes to reselling the house and somebody might not be as blase about it as me. Does the above mean that the seller didn't get the work properly approved and thus I could be required to pay for my future buyer's indemnity insurance for the work?
Thank you!

Standard conservatories don't have to conform to building regulations because the vast majority wouldn't.
As for the rewire, that's normally certified by the electrician rather than the building inspector. If it's missing, your vendor might be able to get a duplicate copy from the certifying body the electrician was registered with.
This just leaves unspecified work in the bathroom, which doesn't sound like a big deal, especially if it's all functioning fine after 13 years. Wouldn't bother me.0 -
Thank you! Extremely helpful.
The house is a probate sale, I hope they will somehow be able to get the certification by the electrician who did the work. Let's see next week what they come back with.0
