Brexit, the market and renting.

Talking about issues in todays market is one thing I have personally considered to be something only the brave talk about. It is a scary time for people and especially people who rent. Myself I have now seen an ever-growing rise in the rent prices for multiple developments, apartments, houses even the prices of hotels in Greater London. London is a place where everywhere is expensive! But, some what reasonable in some cases. However, the past decade has produced such an incline that renting is somewhat more expensive than most houses in the outskirts of London. My annual rental charges for the year have gone up more than 12% over 3 years! Yes I can understand that this is down to the individuals place of living and of course the owner of the building etc but to not be the only one to have this happen to in multiple parts of London this is something that worries me. With Brexit around the corner is this not something to be worried about as scarcity in the UK is only going to grow. So where to from here? Please enlighten me

I predict Brexit will have a minimal impact on the rental market - in fact it may have the effect of; at least in some areas, of there being surplus supply.
Ultimately until a final deal, or no deal, is confirmed it's impossible to say fully.
Just FYI the june 2016 vote was a godsend to marketing depts. across the country - who simply raised prices with no real impact on their supply costs.0 -
