The OnePlus 6T phone has a better benchmark result than the iPhone XR in a couple of tests I looked at the UL Benchmarks website and can be had for £250 near enough

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I think he was being subjective, I have an ancient xperia that someone gave to me when the battery died and since then I've had to replace the battery again. The power button no longer works, but to me it's just as good as an iphone.

Where? It seems to be double that to buy, £250 appears to be the down payment.

You're absolutely correct, if you believe £500 is "near enough" £250.

I don't have a 999/999 score because "The average length of your financial relationships is less than six years."

I wonder if Apple rejected you because you don't have enough credit history. Have you managed to get credit with anyone else? The other explanation could be a CIFAS marker.
Coincidentally, the same day I shook hands on a new BMW, which I now have (on a loan).

I have a mortgage (same address for over 20 years), previous car loans, credit cards (which are always paid in full each month).

Presumably because you checked your “score” again rather than the actual data in your files.

Either that or you could have spent sub £150 on an equally as good phone
Well, yes - I have an old Nokia 6700 and it is a very good, even excellent, phone.

But it doesn't do all the other things the iPhone does.

(I've even got a couple of Nokia 6301s, if you remember them!)

I found that on google shop, perhaps that was the contract price. Any which way, there are defo better spec phones that are a lot less than Apple. Without the name on the phone, that spec phone would be far less

Incidentally, I left it a couple of months, checked my credit score again and tried again, only to be rejected again.

I went off and got the phone elsewhere instead.

So, Apple Store lost the sale, though I did go back there with my new boxed phone for a cover and a screen protector.

How can someone spend so much time on this forum to have over 10,000 posts and yet has no understanding of how credit reports work, what have you been doing on here :rotfl:

All this talk of cheap mobile phones i think i should mention that the next mobile phone i will be buying when it's released soon will be £1799 ;)
