Depositing a cheque to a partnership account

Can a cheque made out to the partners of a (non-limited) partnership, be paid into the partnership account, or must the cheque be made out in the partnership name ?
I set up a partnership account with a high street bank, together with another person. We have received a cheque made out to our joint names, but omitting the name of the partnership. Can we pay this cheque into the partnership account, or must we ask for it to be re-issued in the name of the partnership ?
The cheque is crossed A/c payee only.

If the cheque is made out to the named partners of the partnership then I don't see a problem in paying it in.0
