Compers news

Hello!
I used to be really in to entering competitions, unfortunately i fell out of this last year after not winning much. I've been looking around and I've come across COMPERS NEWS, a monthly subscription. I was just wondering if anyone else has used this and is it worth the money? I'd love to get back in to comping as when it was good, it was really good!
Any advice would be great,
thank you!

If you are going to pay for freely available information then you might as well just use one of the "pay to enter" sites and let them do it all for you - either way it's poor value.

I would say that 95% of all comps available are posted on here so you only need to come here. AND IT IS FREE.
I do it just for fun and whatever I win is a bonus

Although Compers News will have a lot of comps posted on/listed in that will not be posted here, they will mostly be purchase necessary as the majority of qualifiers cost more than the £2.10 limit on this forum. Personally I don’t spend money on buying things I wouldn’t usually, but if you are happy to and want to enter that type then they have quite lengthy listings (I’ve seen a friend’s magazine and their forum listings). They also run a lot of in-house comps that you have to be a member to enter, so I suppose if you won one or more of those it could be worth it, but I don’t know what the odds of winning are like and of course there are lots of other magazines that run comps either with or without a fee.

    I subscribe to Compers News.

Yes, a lot of the listings it has are available elsewhere, but I like the format, the in-house puzzles, the advice and the comping articles.

I've paid more for magazines I've read less. I look forward to seeing it arrive every month.
Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.
