To those who stopped getting 0% offers from barclaycard

Once the offers stopped did they ever resume?

Seems I have no current offers, all the years of spamming me with junk mail, I finally wanted to use an offer and is none there.

But if its something that will stop for the lifetime of the account I will cancel the card.

Phone and ask them if they can do any offers for you

They won't have stopped for the lifetime of your account.

Barclaycard just tend to throw everything at people for a while, then stop while they save up a bit more budget, then start again.

I had a recent credit card cull a couple of months ago.

I rang Barclaycard to ask them to close my account and they said that I could have 12 months 0% APR on spending.

I also rang Halifax to close my credit card account and they just said "Ok, we'll close that for you now sir."

Guess which CC account remained open?

I already gave virgin money the balance transfer so that business is lost to barclaycard, I sent a secure message regarding the issuing of offers in the future, will await their response.

I’ve not had any offers off them in a while. I do get the option of instalment plans. I called up,to close account and got 12m 0% on purchases. Barcycard really want you to keep an account with them.

Well I have no interest in 0% purchases, every card offers that by paying in full the following month plus I have an existing tesco purchases card with almost 2 years left on it.

I know others have reported different, but mine stopped about 18 months ago now, I've had nothing at all, even when calling up to cancel. Before that, I'd had 0% offers every single month for nearly 10 years.

Never used them, but I'm only keeping the card now for Hilton Honors points, once they axe that (and since the card isn't available any more to new customers, it'll happen eventually), I'll close my account.

I think I must have been one of the favoured the day I phoned to close my account because they offered offered me 12 free on purchases.

Perhaps it depends on who you are speaking to.

I’ve had no offers for about 12-18 months. I’m not too bothered as I transferred a balance for a low rate until it’s paid off and it’s going down quite nicely.

Stopped getting offers. Started using the card again and paying it off monthly. Offers started up again.
