Hello, yes i went into the sainsburies in wolverhampton (not bentley bridge) today for a few things and got the voucher too.
I hope lots of people dont go in just to rip them off though-doesnt seem fair. It is good of them to offer the voucher to genuine customers who couldnt get what they orginially went in for.

This happened today at Osmaston park Derby, they said it was because their fruit and veg fridges at the main depot had gone down, and the shelves were almost empty.
They gave them to everyone regardless of spend, which was great, but I bought £28 worth of shopping, was given a voucher, then put a £10 iron through the tills straight afterwards (that I bought for someone else) and got another voucher.
The problem being that if I'd have known about the voucher in the first place then I'd have put the iron through first, got a voucher, then put my shopping through, thus giving me a fiver off it!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! I don't even shop there very often, so my vouchers are prob gonna be useless!
I suspect this offer is possibly Midlands area only? I presume S/B's have more than one depot?0 -
I've just been to asda in stoke - there has been a contamination at one of their chilled depots so the shelves are pretty bare in places. The £5 voucher looks to be pretty standard.0

The depot that serves the midlands at Coleshill suffered an ammonia leak on Thursday night and this is what feeds the fridge at the depot. The ammonia leaked into the produce chamber and although there was no evidence of contamination to the products in the produce chamber a decision was taken to destroy everything in that area. As the temperature of the products in the chill could not be guarenteed (IE it was not known if the product was kept at an average less than 5 deg for long enough) a decision was taken to also destroy the whole of chill (basicly anything you keep in a fridge) deliveries for Thursday too. The two decisions were taken on customer safety grounds, if not 100% certain its safe throw it away.
Deliveries were switched by Friday morning to come from a new depot in Northampton and deliveries should be getting back to normal now from the Coleshill depot.
Don't think Sainsburys will worry about people abusing the vouchers as its only £5 and you have to spend £20 at least so its only = at that level to a 25% discount.
Far better than the 3p a litre tescos paid out when they went destroying peoples cars with contaminated petrol.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
It's in Yorkshire too and we've had it twice this week- once because the tills went down and once because of the fruit and veg.0

I got one from Cannock on Friday night. One of the staff said the warehouse had been evacuated and they had no deliveries...to be honest the fruit and veg/ bread aisles were bare!
