Poll - response times from AutoAid

Hi Folks,
given the continued support from MoneySavingExpert even in light of the numerous bad reviews I have seen, I am pushed to wonder how much these bad reports actually represent the actual experience of having to call out via AutoAid.

I do tend to find that Internet folk are more likely to leave a bad review than a good one cos if there is no problem / service was "within expectation" then "why bother reviewing?" it seems.

To this end I'm hoping you AutoAid-using folks could shed some light on response times you've faced.

My consideration of an alternative to the AA comes with their renewal quote of only a 55% increase on last years's premium for roadside only!

So, I would appreciate good and bad response time replies please guys!

A funny thing is a lot of bad reviews seem to be where someone has been charged £5 more on renewal, or been charged a cancellation fee for cancelling.
These are both standard insurance industry practices! And barely makes their recovery service bad.
And is no doubt in the small print.

Ignoring that they appear on a par with AA or RAC as far as I can tell.

Thanks
DTMSM
Friendly greeting!

Don't understand what or where the poll is....

I have been with them for over 10 years. I live in a very rural area and my wife and I have used them about half a dozen times between us. Until a year or two ago you had to use your own garage/repairer and reclaim the charge.
Now they use their own breakdown service so it works like all the other suppliers and they arrange the callout and settle the charge directly. Wait times have never been more than about 30 minutes for us. But it will probably depend on the service supplier in the location where you need them.
