Electricity usage monitors
Options
We are Swalec customers and have just signed up for their "Better Plan" scheme: stay on your existing tariff, no extra charges but they send you 2 monitors - 1 to fix to your meter and 1 to use around the house. If after 12 months you have reduced your energy consumption by 20% they will give you "cash rewards".
Either visit their website www.swalec.co.uk or phone 0800 980 0439.
We thought we would give it a go and are waiting for the gadgets to arrive!

Yes that's it, but being a bit of a nerd I wondered who made it and what its specification was.

The monitor arrived last week - no idea what make it is as it has Swalec's logo! But have to say it's been an interesting exercise - especially when you turn the kitchen light on - 3 spotlights really send the numbers up! Looking around for energy saving lights to replace them.....0

Hi, I got one of these some while ago, the company that make them are Current Cost. Website of the same name (dotcom), not sure how much information you'll get there though.
I know there seems to be a discussion about the merits of these things, but I know I've saved money, I guess thats the real test.0
