So the reality is that your issues were down to npower and their reporting late payments to the CRA. Not sure what 3rd party searches have to do with what happened to you.0

So what are the ways of seeking redress? There are no legal case precedents, there is the Durkin case but nothing else. I'd be keen to learn more of what you know.

What I know is that Durkin v DSG Retail Ltd & Anor [2014] UKSC 21 was about a debtor-creditor-supplier agreement under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, and has no relevance to an alleged unauthorised search carried out on a CRA record.
