Sold item on Ebay - buyer not happy

Hi, I sold a 3 year old Samsung Galaxy S6 on ebay, clearly stating there was a small crack and included a photograph of the crack. Now the person that bought it is not happy and saying the crack is bigger than expected. I have replied stating that it was clear in the photo the size and shape of the crack so I wasn't hiding anything. If he does come back to me, how do you think I proceed? Does ebay back you if you were honest upfront or do they not care? Do I ask him to return it before I repay him or the other way round? Or does anyone think this might be a scam?

I am not a regular ebayer, just sold it as I have upgraded to a new phone.

Thank you

Personally I would reply stating that the crack and dimensions/size of it were clear in the listing along with a photo, but as a good will gesture you will refund if they return it (at their own expense) and once you have verified it is in the same condition as when you sent it.

If they open a dispute, eBay will make them return it for a refund. EBay will try and make you pay postage, but you should argue that the buyer should pay this.

Do not refund until you have your received it back and are satisified it is the same phone.

Bet it was bought by someone who did not read the description properly.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

They might be trying it on to get a discount......as above let them return at their expense and don't refund till you've checked it

Don't be surprised though if nothing happens and they decide to keep it after you've pointed out that it was as described
