I hate those. Carpets in a rental make it difficult to "match" with your furniture - and create a "cleaning" issue/cost when you leave. Give me neutral laminate/wood/vinyl any day .... and I'll buy rugs :)

I think you need another curtain in the small bedroom because a single one looks odd. I like it. However what I will say is that I only buy houses with offstreet parking. So the lack of parking might affect the rental price but I don't know because I don't let in Warrington.

Curtains are just in so it looks lived in, most tenants will put own up. The brown ones were £1 per set in a clearance, all others left in properties when we got them.

I was toying with the idea of laminate in the lounge, hard floors in kitchen, dining, bathroom and hall.

    Thanks for the comments.

    Looks really nice.

I second the above post about the landlords choice of carpet in my current flat, cream. I wouldn't even do that in my own home when I get one!
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

To be honest I used to go for beige fleck carpets, our carpet man told us grey was all the rage, so we have done grey in last 3 projects. When I went to the tip - sorry community recycling facility - with the offcuts and placed them carefully in the carpet recycling container … I couldn't help but notice 90% of the offcuts and ends were grey. There were light grey, mid grey, dark grey, grey fleck, silver grey, blue grey, grey grey, and er errr grey.

Any photos of the property in its original state? Just out of interest, would be interesting to see the transformation.

Yes but difficult to post. A bit of a wreck. Plenty of stuff to clear, in fact a whole F******* house full.
