  • Hi Wilkster. It is a life changing experience doing this. You can become quite obsessed to be honest BUT you feel in control for once. I was just thinking today about how I used to buy the 'best' as it was going on a card but now I buy the most appropriate item at the best price I can get it. Yes it takes up time but I have saved a fortune and am actually watching the nubers going down for the first time ever. Good luck

Good luck with clearing your debts. To do it in one year would be amazing.

You're not a mug for supporting your OH whilst she builds her business up at all. Hopefully she will get busier and busier and you will have a lovely debt free future ahead.

  • Hi everbody, thought i would update my diary since I got paid today, and updating this will hopefully help me get the debt gone in the 12 months as promised. So my cleared wages were £3304.
£1000 has gone to my Mum and Dad, debt with them now £2500, I have reduced my overdraft limit from £3500 to £2500 so that should stop me spending unless i really really HAVE TO! My OH will be paying Council tax this month, so that should leave me with around £650-700left to live of for the 3 weeks off. Anything left over from this will be going on Credit card. I have also asked to have the limit reduced on credit card to £1500 to stop any spending. My this Diary thing works, I would never have done this before. Only through the help and support of the DFW have I managed this so thanks people, especially Keren who made me feel like I could really do it when she told me she cleared £25k in a year!!!! :)
