Hi,

So I have just moved in to a new property last Thur 10/1 , on the same day the agent told me the boiler is faulty , the hearing is on all the time while there is no hot water at all.

The agency has arranged a repair today 15/1, that now I can turn off the hearing.

However , will the landlord be responsible for the bill during the period. Or I should just send the meter reading to the energy supplier after they have fixed the boiler ?

Thanks so much :j

I've just been running my MIL's heating 24hrs a day (she's bedridden) and used 110 units a day - that's about £3 a day. £15 in 5 days and you've had the benefit of heating.

Forget compo - be grateful the landlord stepped in quickly.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Are you saying you wouldn't have used the heating during the past 5 days?

How much do you think you're due,
not forgetting that you've saved on the hot water . . ?

Probably not best to get into a battle with your Landlord less than a week into your tenancy.

Afterall. You did sign up and take the keys on thursday. You could have declined sign up until the repair was done. 3 working days is excellent service from your LL!
