Emirates moved us to earlier flight - what are our rights?

We've got flights booked with Emirates from Glasgow to Perth via Dubai.
I've just received an email from Emirates to say that they're moving me from my return flight at 6am on 25/06/2019 to a different flight at 11:20pm on 24/06/2018. This will leave us with 10 hours to kill, from 5am, at Dubai airport instead of 2! I'm going to contact them regarding this to see if there is an earlier connecting flight but I'd like to know what my rights are if there isn't or they won't put us on it.
All the information I can find is about schedule changes and delayed flights. The flight schedule hasn't changed, we've been moved to a different flight number and it's earlier, not delayed!
Any advice appreciated, I booked through Travel Trolley but I think I'll try the airline first.

Has your journey already begun? If not, then I doubt Emirates will deal with you direct and will make you go via the agent.
Another reason no one should be booking via an agent!0 -
Are you suggesting that everyone should book direct with the airline? What about high street travel agents, is that acceptable?Another reason no one should be booking via an agent!
This is a site about money saving! I've been booking flights for 20 years via the cheapest method whether that be direct with the airline, a high street travel agent or an online travel agent. I've never had any problems.
This is the first time I've been moved to a different flight, so I was looking for advice on rights about that, not speculation. Changes made by the airline are obviously out with the booking agent's control.0 -
I just connected to the Emirates online chat and they've moved us to a connecting flight a couple of hours after our new one gets in. Probably took about the same time as composing my original post. I should've contacted them in the first place :rotfl:
Big thumbs up to Emirates!0
