Subject access request

Hello
I sent out a sar to the royal Bank of Scotland on the 5th. Of December and to date I have not received anything back from them. I also sent another one on the same date to Halifax and received the information from them within 10 days. Do i just send out another sar to the royal Bank? Or do I report this and to whom? Thanks

They had a month to respond, as per https://ico.org.uk/your-data-matters/time-limits-for-responding-to-data-protection-rights-requests/, so on the face of it are in breach of their responsibilities under the Data Protection Act.

Did you submit the SAR electronically or by post? If the latter then it's not inconceivable that it could have been caught up in pre-Christmas delays but that doesn't extend their deadline for responding.

Either way, as zx81 suggests, contacting them would be a good place to start, firstly to establish that they received it and then to find out why they haven't replied (or even acknowledged?) yet and what they propose to do about it.
