Hi all
For insurance purposes I recently went round our house taking pictures (on my iphone) of all valuable items. There's over 50 photos. I want to Email them to myself but each image size is huge. Is there a way I can bulk select the images on my Iphone and Email them to myself without the laborious task of doing it one image by one? I'm thinking of an app? I know I could plug my phone into itunes but even then that would still mean that I now have 50 Huge images now sitting on my PC and then after if I did Email them to myself these huge images would take up a huge amount of my free Email space.
Any advice please?

Select them all (or maybe with 50+ perhaps half of them) in photos then press share and choose Mail. Before sending it will ask what size you want the images giving (from memory) four choices. Send the email to yourself then repeat as necessary!0 -
I don't see the 'share' option
For example I just selected 7 photos
At the top of the screen it says '7 Photos Selected' in Black writing and says 'Cancel' in Blue writing to the right of that.
At the bottom of the screen it shows a Blue Box with an arrow pointing up (on the left). The middle says 'Add To' and to the right is the trash can??0 -
Don't Apple offer some sort of cloud storage space? Google do on gmail accounts. Be easier that way to just upload them on wifi to something like Google drive or drop box and saves you having to lose quality shrinking them
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yes, you press the blue box with the arrow (that is the share option), various options will pop up one of which is the Mail icon. Press that and a blank email will open, containing the pictures you have selected. Add the email address (probably yours) and something in the subject line. When you press send it will ask you about the photo size.
It does work, I do it regularly!0 -

^^^ I agree, but might be a bit big to email in one go for some email progs - split into a few groups and send.
It is a good idea to ensure they are saved in a good compressed format such as high resolution jpeg (you sometimes get quality options at 'save') but not compressed low fes options for insurance purposes.0 -

That is pretty much the approach I would suggest. Use whatever free system you have access to e.g. icloud / google drive / one drive / amazon drive and set it to synch photos to cloud. Then use the companion desktop app on your PC and every picture on your phone will be on your computer.
Very handy to have a backup of your pics should your phone go missing/stolen/broken too.
(You should of course set the cloud app to only use wifi and not 4G data if you're on a limited data plan!)(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)0 -
With Google Photos you could create an album of these photos, then share a link to the album with the insurance company via email (if they'll accept the photos this way) at a future time if necessary.0
