Reactive insurance solutions no engineer visit radiator issue

Unfortunately the cause of the sludge is still present in the whole system...slightly cleaner now tho as you've refilled 2 rads, so the issue may recur
Hence the reason a complete system flush was recommended.
Does the system have a filter ? One fitted would cost little more than your annual premium and would help to clean,as well as maintain the system0 -
If you have a microbore system ie 8mm pipe work you cannot have a power flush....
I have sludge in some of my radiators - it looks like the previous owner didn’t put any inhibitor in the system at all at any stage.0 -
Try this. I had a long standing radiator which stayed mostly cold despite me bleeding it, and rebalancing the radiator system.
The problem turned to be just a sticking thermostatic valve pin.. Youtube will help you with this. Its just a matter of unscrewing the top and revealing the pin. Either press it down manually if you can or with something to grip it.Don t be too rough with it.. These pins stick so whatever level you set it at it stays shut off.
. Also the other side of the rad at the lockshield can stick..some gentle tapping on it has worked for me when the radiator refused to get hot.Worth a try before calling out the experts.0
