Persimmon

We found our perfect house, first time buyers and are very excited. However we are going to through to reserve our plot as we speak, I was wondering what people managed to get out of persimmon without paying? For example washer, flooring so on. I understand you don't get that with new builds but I know if you don't ask you certainly don't get. So what extras have you all managed to get?:A

It depends who you are dealing with.
We have just recently got a new build - it's not Persimmon but we looked at 3 of Persimmons developments in our area, one development were offering a few things, the other development was very grim and offered nothing, by the third we were really focusing elsewhere.
It is partly down to what Persimmon region you are dealing with (we spoke to some of their reps who advised what they could offer depending on the regional manager for the region they were working in). It will also depend on the amount of interest they have or expect to have in that development - they wont offer much if they expect to sell out fast (realistically not just because they say they are).
As you say - if you don't ask you don't get. It might be worth looking at other developments in the area to see what they are offering to give you a bit of leverage.0 -
Thank you for your reply.
The houses don't seem to be selling fast, they have a few which are built and ready to go buy haven't been bought yet, so I'm thinking they will agree to someghing at least to get the sale!
I've looked at others and most offer at least the appliances such as washer dishwasher, fridge and freezer. But I don't love them as much as this one:p
My husband is planning on just asking for everything because hopefully they compromise which is what has happened in the past with friends and family. Which is ideal😂0 -
np.
Good luck, the first person from persimmon we spoke to was at their site in Larkhall, she was nice to deal with and helpful - hopefully you get someone like that.
We liked the Persimmon homes mostly - We ruled them out as the one we could afford had insufficient (no) storage0
