AutoAid Cover Renewal Service Charge

I've just had my renewal notice for AutoAid cover - been with them for a few years. By the looks of it, the cover premium has remained the same - £43.31 - but there is now an additional £5.00 "Service Charge", making it £48.31 in total. Has anyone else noticed this and if so, what do you think? Personally, I would have thought any admin. charges should be covered by the basic premium and this £5 addition seems to be a bit of a try-on.

At the end of the day its the final price that counts. Who cares that they need to pay 2p to the cleaner and 27p on phone costs and 30p towards the computer system to manage everything?
So they have increased the premium by £5.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Pay more for cover elsewhere without an admin charge then.0

AutoAid is still very good value for money but if you only need basic cover it's worth reading this https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/car-insurance/breakdown-cover/0

Have you tried ringing them and telling them you don't want to pay this 'service charge?'
I've done that successfully with several insurance companies/brokers, but it's not worked every time. Then I just leave them."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

£ 48.31 is the website price for new membership.
Looks like a 2019 price rise.0 -
