Ideas for an inexpensive wedding dress - last week in a sale, I saw an absolutely beautiful white blouse in a shop for under £10, and another on line in cream for £11.20 at C0tton Traders. Add a plain skirt to match and there is a fabulous outfit for a Summer bride.
Somewhere on this site there is a thread about budget weddings, from a few years ago. It is one of the most heartwarming threads, and full of ideas for keeping costs down.

For our wedding, I think we spent about £7,000 in Central London. Registrars office and then over to the pub opposite for a meal.

There were about 35 people there and our wedding included the meal, dress, rings and a bridesmaids dress.

Like TBagpuss said, work out your budget (what you can sensibly afford) and plan to suit that.

We made our own wedding cake and the bridesmaid fsvours ourselves. Our favours were little candies we made using a silicon mould (they were very distinctive and personal to us as was the cake).

If you're going to have an elaborate wedding, think outside the box. Elaborate doesn't have to be expensive. Do what "you" want to do for your wedding not what the glossy magazines tell you "you have to have".

Remember it's your special day why get a package deal wedding that in 5 years time no one else will remember any of it from a an other wedfingvthey wemt to.
May you find your sister soon Helli.
    Sleep well.
