    Does this mean I'll have to deposit £1000 each month after the initial £2500 to benefit from the 5% for the 12 months?

    Have you read post 7 above carefully? Paragraph 5?

    Strictly speaking, with a FlexDirect constantly funded to the brim (preventing interest from compounding), you'd earn the gross rate of 4.89% for £122.25 over the year rather than the 5% AER....
