I hire self storage in Glasgow, it's shipping containers so 10ft up to 40ft in length. 8ft wide, 8ft 6" in height, if someone wants to work out the volume :)

20ft is the standard size, £105 per month including the VAT, and you provide your own insurance.
  • Iirc we were paying Storage King approximately £400 per month for 300sq ft (2 x 150sq ft units) earlier this year.

In addition we initially had a third, much smaller unit that I think was £100 per month.
    Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

    Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed
  • Make sure you don't scrimp on insurance to save a few quid. There have been a few situations recently of fires where people have lost their lives possessions and then find they are not adequately insured.
  • Hi everyone thanks for your help, the rough pricing will help. Has anyone had any experience with SafeStore or Lok n Store?
  • Hello. Looking for a Storage West London prices. Cannot decide due of too many suggestions. Don't want to google further. Anyone who can tell me how good is Big Yellow or Stored or Van Guard Storage? No Pricing Issues.
Also, are they available in the Holland Park?

Really better off posting on a local FB group or the like rather than tagging on the back of an old UK forum post :)

Not "recently", by a long chalk, but my father was on the wrong end of this.

To add insult to injury, the fire occurred between him moving in to his new flat, and collecting the stuff he had stored... and the new flat had a great view of the storage unit...

Even then, the things most people store are not the things money can replace. If most people do the sums on storage for anything more than a very short period, it's not worth doing. Sell/dispose, and replace.

used safe store up until the beginning of the year, decent but expensive once the 8 week offer period is over

I didn't know. Otherwise would've done that. Thanks a ton :) Kz Forums work out than social media groups. you will find less quality and more trash.
