Buyer threatening to pull out of sale

If the cats go into a cattery they will not be able to roam, so since the sale is progressing on it, I would move them to your girlfriends flat at a time when there are not many people to see the cat cage, and keep them there until it completes as well. That way you keep the buyers happy and do not risk the sale. Trying to get one sale completed with a date that suits everyone is hard enough, trying to get 2 unconnected (different chains) sales completing the same day is going top be a lot harder. I doubt that anyone will notice the cats being in the flat, and by the time they do with a bit of luck it will have completed and you will be away.
Just exchange perhaps next Friday with a 3 week gap to completion on your property, and it brings you a lot closer to the completion on the flat, plus you may be able to push things along a bit on the flat and be out 6 weeks later!Credit card debt - NIL

Hi guys thanks for your replies. I was just after a bit of advice on how to negotiate with them and of course I understand their position.0

The buyers situation may have changed also.
They may be getting worried - if the other place never sells will you be pulling out of the chain and leaving them in the lurch?
Their request isn't all that unreasonable really. How long has it been between them viewing and offering til now?
Have you asked what has brought about this urgency? That has to be stage 1 with negotiating.0
