I want to Change Energy Supplier But!

I pay for my duel fuel tariff by monthly Direct Debit.
I have slowly been building a credit with my supplier as the DD is slightly higher than the cost of usage.
I now want to switch, but understandably want to make sure I get my money back.
Any tips on how to achieve this?

The usual school of thought is that separate suppliers for gas and electric is better than dual fuel.

When the switch is complete the existing supplier will generate a final bill and in a few weeks you will get back your credit - you don't have to request it.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
