What constitutes a change for WTC?

I currently receive WTC and CTC I want to remain on these rather than moving to UC. I have recently applied for PIP but am wondering if the entitlement to the disability element of WTC represent a change, meaning I would have to move to UC?
Someone also mentioned that I might be able to get the disability element of WTC without PIP. Is this true? and would this be classed as a change is circumstances?

This is not classed as a change of circumstances and won't prompt a move to UC.Crazydennie wrote: »I currently receive WTC and CTC I want to remain on these rather than moving to UC. To claim the disabled element of WTC you need to meet the criteria, see links for this.

Thanks that really helps. I've never claimed any form of disability benefit or element before so won't be eligible unless I get PIP but it puts my mind at rest about be forced onto UC.I'm Ever hopeful!:j:j:j:j0

It is a change of circumstances, just not one that would move you to UC.0
