I have wedding, engagement and eternity rings (all platinum and diamond) to sell due to going through divorce. Can anyone advise where the best place to sell is, please?

You do realize you are not going to get anything like you think they are worth.
Start with taking them to a proper jeweller ( not one of the high street chains ) and see what they say about their value. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
Hang onto them if you're selling them just because of the divorce.
If you're starting off life as a single woman they may represent a source of emergency money you may need later on.0 -
Id reconsider selling them but see how much they would be worth if as suggested you need them in an emergency.0

To go a few independent jewellers to see what they will give you. I sold a few gold rings and was surprised how little I got for them. I was given £40 for a ring that cost £120 and I think it was about £80 for a ring that cost £300.0

The mark up on new jewellery is known to be very high, so secondhand value will be comparatively low. Unless of high value or antique, most gold rings will go for scrap, so you may only get scrap gold price, but I do not know if platinum would be treated similarly. The actual stones may or may not be valuable. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
