Alton Towers with older teens

My husband is entitled to book a stay in the Alton Towers Resort over the Services event weekend but our teens are 17 and 18. Which means we have to book 2 rooms at double the price. They can't go on their own as the Services member has to be in the party. It is only for 1 night seems ridiculous to pay for 2 rooms when there are 4 beds in a family room. The overnight stay includes bed and breakfast - I'm wondering if we just put them down as 15 and hope they don't check too vigorously.
