Default utilities affecting credit rating

Hi guys,
New here and first post so please be gentle.
Have a disputed payment with one of tv providers (End of Contract) of £74 dating back to July 18
Lot of phone calls, got nowhere, sent dca letters out who can't prove debt exists when queried. Have had a letter regards ombudsmen which I've misplaced but no correspondence since.
Fast forward to now and credit rating is rock bottom, less than 300.
This would bother me except for the fact my mortgage fixed term is ending in July and will be afraid of not being able to renegotiate.
I also have a loan for renovations for 15k (12k left), and 3 credit cards maxed out to time of 8500k, 2 of which are 0% and other paid of in full or close to every month.
I know credit cards utilisation won't be helping either so next few months are aimed at reducing them asap.
Question is an i better of giving in to tv company and pay 74 quid or is it too late now?
Will it cost me more in long run?
Thanks for reading 😀

Ignore your made up score.
What is the debt for?0 -
Debt on credit cards and loan is all for house refurbishment. Moved in in 2016 and work needed was a lot more than.
The defaulted 74 quid is for disputed payment for TV/broadband package. Wasn't receiving speed quoted and channel lineup changed. Not sure if can name companies on here but I'm sure you can guess which one0 -
Regards the tv - that’s not a reason to not pay the bill so you’re liable for it.
Clear the cards ASAP as well before the 0% runs out0 -
I was also out of contract and cancelled, they insisted on 30 days notice which i did not agree to due to them not upholding their part of agreement.
I plan to, still have 20 months but I'm aiming to get them down and putting works on house on hold0 -
Doesn’t matter - it would have been in the contract you signed and agreed to so you’re liable for it.0

I paid off the water company and asked if they'd remove the black mark, so yiu could try that.
Is it worth losing your financial freedom over 70 quid? Continue the battle but do it by refund rather than default..0 -
Your score or the contents won't prevent you from being able to renegotiate a deal with your current lender, it might though mean it is harder to get one with another lender and the rates offered aren't as good. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
