    UPDATE

    ———-

I have received a Notice of Transfer of Proceedings. Is this normal?

Letter states the claim has been transferred to my local County Court

Yes, this is normal after you requested your local court via the DQ.

Ah OK. So it’s just an acknowledgement of that?

Feeling all very real at the mo. Do most of these cases actually end in Court? I thought they didn’t but I’m worried I’m basing that on out of date advice

Yes, it is just to keep you informed. It isn't anything to be concerned about. The Claimant will have received the same.

A number of cases do go to court. It might help you to search (advanced search, searching this board only) for the term "another one bites the dust". That will show you those who have gone to court and won their cases.

    Update:

On Friday I received a letter from BW Legal saying a CCJ had been entered against me. Today, I saw it appear on my credit file.

Clearly, across the three different claims, I didn’t file all the necessary paperwork at the right times so I now have a CCJ on my file. I didn’t think this was possible (believing if I lost I would still avoid a CCJ if I paid within 30 days) so I am gutted ( and feeling out of my depth)

I will need to pay it in hopes of removing this CCJ from my record as I am due to remortgage this summer.

Can someone let me know the best way of paying to ensure a swift removal of the CCJ from my credit file? Leaving it with BW legal doesn’t fill me confidence...
