Clearly I ought not to push the restaurant comparisons too far!
With financial advisers it seems in the end to boil down to cost, credibility and (personal) chemistry.
Cred has to do with professional qualifications and the independent v restricted/tied categorisation. Chemistry is entirely personal. I had hoped to narrow down the field by looking at comparative costs, but this evidently isn't easy to do.
Ah well, I'll just have to stab in the dark....0
